We have found it necessary to turn off the run valve PID and pre-set the run valve set put when transitioning from microwave on to off or off to on.

Generally speaking, before turning the microwaves on, one needs to turn off the PID loop, and open the run valve to 0.6 turns. Then turn on the microwaves. Then turn the PID loop back on.

Similarly, when turning the microwaves off, the run valve should be pre- set to 0.1
