    keyword=Test ARS readout 1 board on adaq1

    I started to read a DVCS ARS board using the new intel CPU.
    It seems the data transfer is improved by a factor of 3, I think I never
    got more than 20 Mb/s when using vxworks CPU.
    Best I could get so far is 17.5 KHz with about 71 MB/s, I will look into
    optimizing the buffer sizes since I get a few messages on the CPU :
    WARN: vmeIN out of event buffers.
    After some time maybe because of writing to disk or buffers filling up ,
    the rates start to fluctuates and drops to half of the best rate.
    I will try with more boards, since at 17.5 KHz the overhead might be
    significant part of the deadtime. Still need to measure real dead time
    and look at the data. In theory the board can go faster than that so it
    might still need to be optimized.
    I will see if using two network adapters could help too.
