keyword=summary of HV problemsI think there are two main issues:
1. Failure to stay connected by telnet. It connects and runs, but then dies. (The missing map files are not a problem.) This happens a lot on R-HRS and sometimes on L-HRS (halog 385862). Not sure why yet.
2. Optimization of delays in C code may be needed. I was able to get the initialization down to 8 seconds by having different delays at different points in the code which I optimized. So that looks promising.
A bit of good news: vme-based Intel PCs deployed on both HRS. On R-HRS it is halladaq8. L-HRS is intelha3. These run the Perl server.
