    keyword=restoring Lower R-HRS HV crate

    The bottom crate stopped talking to the server on ahut2. I looked on the back and
    saw the red lights on the cards blinking. (Note, the upper crate was, and is, fine).

    Someone should check that I restored the values correctly on this crate.

    Now it seems that whatever crate is connected to the ahut2 server, after some time
    some or all the cards get "paralyzed" such that the only way out is to power cycle.
    Note: it is only necessary to power cycle the back switch; you do NOT have to unplug
    the big red cable connector on the front.

    I've reverted to a version of the frontend C code that has large fixed delays instead
    of looking for a string sandwiched between a beginning and end sequence. This is
    the indentical code used on the intelPCs, which only likes this version (something
    about USB-to-serial, we had concluded several weeks ago). It is intrinsically slower.
    Let's see if this makes it more stable on ahut2.
