keyword=R.C. Summary of 3/12 Acc and 3/13 HallA meetings

New from the Wdnesday accelerator meeting:

Accelerator informs us that they will likely be starting at 4.8 GeV due to down zones in the linacs; though they will be going back up to >6 GeV as soon as they can so they can meet their DOE milestone. Once the milestone is met, they will like lower the energy again to a point where the trip rate is tolerable.

Everyone should also be aware that the left arm can not go down to its normal 12.5 degrees due to the large exit pipe that was installed for DVCS. Ed placed the arm at 15.0 degrees and then placed the pin in the floor so that the spectrometer can not be taken to a smaller angle.

Here is a brief summary of the Hall A meeting this morning:

    1) Accelerator still plans to deliver pulsed beam starting Friday afternoon. Hall A lock-up would be noon.

    2) Target cool-down has begun. Target operator training will begin during the swing shift today.

    3) Both the dipole and quad on Moeller experienced shorts. The quad is fixed and work will begin on the dipole later today.

    4) The right arm had a breaker trip last night when Jack tried to power up the dipole. The trip point has been set higher and Jack will try again this morning.
