March 26, Swing shift summary

Highlights:

• a few spec of CW beam: MCC could only deliver 2 uA and it was pretty unstable. So they took the beam away for more tunning.

Timeline:

• 16:40: Start seing pulsed beam in Hall A at 16:40
• 16:53: operational restrictions upped to 100 uA with an integrated limit of 600 uA.hour. D. Higinbotham's elog. MCC is charged with keeping track of the integrated charge.
• 17:27 The ESR coolant inlet temperature seems to dip very low and to go off limits. Upon consultation with the target on call (G. Smith), Konrad changes the limit for the alarm. Greg thinks that this temperature sensor has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
• 19:45: Cycled the left quad to 1400 A and then back to 3 GeV.
• 21:17: 2 uA CW in the hall for a few minutes : off it goes immediately!! MCC is not satisfied by the fact that they can only deliver 2 uA.
