Several people are noticing a loud high-pitched sound in the front room of the Hall A counting house. It's somewhere in the 10-12 kHz range. People's tolerance to it seems to vary, personally I find it nearly unbearable. As far as we can tell, the sound seems to be emitted by the PSS box or its immediate vicinity. We tried turning all the old analog display monitors off, but that didn't help, so we suspect the PSS box itself.
Someone sould address this soon. In some way, this is a health hazard of sorts.
