Angle of Beam Envelope (from Tosca fields);

VDCs:

       This allows for identical chambers each giving full coverage at
       500mm downstream position with 50mm on each side for margin as
       well as to accomodate different tunes of the spectrometer.
       With wires at 45 degrees to the frame this results in
       (1942+271)mm / 6mm  = 370 wires per plane.
       Location:(needs revision!)   the high momentum side of VDC2 will extend
		   [658.7 x sqrt(2) + 50 + 50]/sqrt(2) mm = 729 mm along
		   the central ray.  (The first 50 mm is margin for the
		   VDC active area and the second 50 mm is a rough
		   estimate of the frame width.  We divide by sqrt(2)
		   to go from the chamber length to the length along
		   the central ray.)  Therefore the VDCs cover the region
		   from the FP to 500+729 = 1229 mm downstream (measured
		   along the central ray).
       Number of cells intercepted (from 1st order Transport):
	   Theta_fp = x0 + theta0 + delta
		    =                   -0.404   theta0 +      20.4    delta
		    =                   -0.404 (+/- 65) +      20.4   (+/- 5)
		    =  +/- 128 mr = +/- 7.3 degrees
	   Extreme angle is 45 degrees +/- 7.3 degrees = 37.7 to 52.3 degrees
	   (angle of rays relative to wire planes).
	   The wire spacing is 6 mm along the frame edge which translates to
	   4.24 mm perpendicular distance between wires. The distance from
	   H.V. plane to H.V. plane is 1 inch = 25.4 mm.  The projection of
	   the track into the wire plane and within the gas volume is
	   therefore L = 25.4 mm/tan(theta) = 19.6 to 32.9mm long. Since the
	   wires are oriented at 45 degrees relative to X and Y this track
	   will intercept L/(sqrt(2)x4.24) = 3.3 to 5.5 cells.

Starting Location: 3400mm from FP Plane 1: 48 Pb-glass blocks (10x10x cm^3) with TF-1 glass Plane 2: 96 Pb-glass blocks (15x15x35 cm^3) with Schott SF5 glass
	  When mounting the box containing Plane 2 it should be lifted at a 30 
	     degree angle to the horizontal.  Lifting bolts in box are 4.5"OD
	     with a 1" diameter ring.  2" diameter shoulder on it.  Rating is
	     13000lbs in a straight lift.  At a 45 degree lift it is
	     13000*.3=3900lbs.
	     Approximate weight of loaded box is 8300lbs.
