APC/BayTech Rack PDU Cross Reference Sheet

As we have done in the past, APC has prepared an easy to use Product Cross Reference Sheet to enable you to satisfy the needs of end users who are seeking APC Rack PDU's that are equivalent to PDUs of other manufacturers.

Hurricane Katrina has impacted the ability of Bay Technical Associates, typically known as BayTech, to provide product to their customers. While BayTech works to recover from the hurricane damage, the PCRS enables APC distributors to help end users obtain equivalent APC product to meet their needs if that product is not available from BayTech.

The equivalent APC products families for the BayTech product lines are:

The APC Basic Rack PDU allows users to distribute power outlets to rack-mount equipment. Horizontal and vertical units are available as well as a variety of power inputs and outputs to fit most power environments.

The APC Metered Rack PDU provides power distribution and network management as well as equips users with the ability to monitor the aggregate current draw as equipment is connected to the unit. These Metered Rack PDU's also have alarm thresholds that when exceeded alert users of potential problems.

The APC Switched Rack PDU provides individual outlet control, power on and off delays, current monitoring, alarm thresholds, and network management. Individual outlet control allows users to turn outlets on, turn outlets off, or recycle power to equipment, which can reboot locked-up equipment and avoid unauthorized use of outlets. Power delays allow users to determine the order in which equipment is powered up or down.
