If you wish to review the details of the added features in this new version of webDAQ code, click here to see the webDAQ help files for alarms and graphs. You can also download the entire programming support and help system for the new version before doing the upgrade, by going back to the previous page, and clicking on "Upgraded programming support and tools(1.8 MB)". This file is a .exe file that you can run by double clicking on it, and it will expand out to the component files.
If you want to upgrade immediately, here is the procedure:
1) Download the new file using the link for the latest version, on the previous page. Save the file to your local hard drive with the default extension. Note that windows might attach a .txt extension to it. That's OK even though it is really a binary file.
2) Through your browser, go to webDAQ and click to the System/Maintenence page, and then click on the "Software Upgrade Installation" link.
3) Click on the "Browse" button and select the file you just downloaded from your hard drive.
4) Click on "Send Code File".
5) Follow the rest of the instructions on the resulting webDAQ pages. Note there are two stages to the upgrade, the first is sending the code file to the webDAQ, and the second is burning the new code into memory. You will be informed by webDAQ as this process continues.
6) When webDAQ notifies you that the upgrade is complete, you can just go back to using webDAQ normally. There is no need to reboot the unit.
