
VCC 2117
Intelligent VICbus to CAMAC Crate Controller Interface
A high speed, memory mapped CAMAC Interface allowing long distance
connections to VME crates or workstations by means of a
well-known link: the VIC (Vertical Inter-Crate) bus.
The VCC 2117A features:
- Simple Direct memory mapped CAMAC interface on VIC bus
- VIC slave interface compatible with the VICbus specification draft ISO/IEC 26.11458
- Fast transfer on the VICbus, 5 Mbytes/s
- Full CAMAC CCA2 functionality
- Auxiliary CAMAC controller (ACC)
- Support for ACL mode
- LAM interrupt handling from the VIC Interface
- Support for LAM grader PLG 2113
- Support for CAMAC DMA and Block modes
- Complete CAMAC ESONE Library
- Complete Software packages for: FIC 8232 (MC 68030) and FIC 8234 (MC 68040) OS-9 and Lynx Systems, Macintosh systems with MAC 7212 under LabVIEW, AT compatible systems with VBAT 8218 under DOS or Lynx
- Accessibility from SUN Sparc (with SVIC 7213) or DEC 5000 (with TVIC 7214) stations
The VCC 2117B features:
- Same features as the VCC 2117A plus:
- On-board MC 68030 25 MHz
- Up to 1 Mbyte of EPROM
- 512 Kbytes of SRAM, zero wait-state Local Memory (SRAM)
- Up to 2 Mbytes of DPRAM, one wait-state Dual Port SRAM
- Ethernet piggy-pack with 64 Kbytes buffered interface, direct Cheapernet output (optional)
- RS 232C port
- Front panel RESET, ABORT, Z, C, OFF-LINE
- Interrupt structure between the local CPU and the VIC Interface
- LAM interrupt handling from the CPU
- CESmon software package including an ESONE compatible List Processor and Library, pROBE+, CAMAC monitor and Ethernet monitor
- OS-9 support on the local processor
