Defect: The fuel sending unit gasket can swell, providing inadequate sealing. If proper sealing is not provided, fuel can leak from the fuel tank. If
an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. 

Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel sending unit gasket on these motorcycles. Owner notification began Oct. 15, 1998. Owners who do not
receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Polaris/Victory at 1-612-417-8650. [NHTSA Recall No. 98V259]
