Specifications - YSI 44000 & 44100 Series Epoxy-Encapsulated Thermistors
Description / How to Order
Time Constant
1 second maximum for standard thermistors, 2.5 seconds maximum for Teflon-sheathed thermistors, when suspended by their leads in a well-stirred oil bath. In still air, 10 seconds maximum for standard thermistors, 25 seconds maximum for Teflon-sheathed thermistors.
Dissipation Constant
8 mW/°C minimum when suspended by their leads in a well-stirred oil bath, or 1 mW/°C in still air.

Interchangeability Tolerance
Tables showing nominal resistance values, ohms per degree, and tolerance at select temperatures over the operating range are available upon request.
Maximum Power
30 mW at 25°C to 1mW at 125°C short-term.
Stability

YSI thermistors are chemically stable and not significantly affected by aging or exposure to strong nuclear radiation. The table below shows typical stability for a representative thermistor, the YSI 44005.
