keyword=Strange temperature on 5% radiator?
I just noticed that we were running with 18 uA on the radiator (should have been max 12 uA on the 5%). I pulled up the temperature stripchart expecting to see some 'too high' temperature, I saw (Figure 1).
The radiator was inserted at 22:00, almost 2 hours ago on the strip chart. Note the bizarre temperature response (_very_ slow rise, very low temperature).
I inserted the 4% radiator and got the 'normal' temperature rise seen in the last few minutes on the stripchart, so the thermal probe isn't broken.
We last ran with the radiator in at 0430 last night (20 hours ago). Seemed to be OK then. What's going on?!?
Further investigation shows that the mark on the radiator feedthrough for the 5% radiator is very close to the gap between the 4 and 5. I think we were just barely missing the 5% foil -- hence the weird temperature profile. Mo pointed out that the blip at -110 minutes is near a beam trip (and probable large shifts in the beam position)...
I moved the radiator to the out limit and then rotated it back until the T3 rate dropped off. There is now a mark on the radiator monitor that must be aligned with the 5% line ONLY.
