Two bars (Y04 and Y05) from Yerevan Institute in Armenia, previously used in BigCal of GEp(3) were tested making use of the new lamps and the lamps used in GEp(3). This was a first approach to compare how good is the improvement of the new lamps.

The bars have a dimensions of 4.0 x 4.0 x 40 <math>cm^3</math>. Y04 was irradiated at the RadCon facilities in JLab under <math>^{137}Cs</math> for ~70h. Y05 was irradiated for 68h. The dose rate is 280Rad/h.

Y04 was bleached using the new lamp and Y05 with the old one, in different sessions for an accumulated time of 10h.

The bleaching process shows a particular behavior in the first centimeters. It shows that there is a quite different bleaching time evolution within the bar caused, perhaps, by the different damage level and high absorption in the first section of the bar. Anyhow, this is not clearly understand.

An exponential fit of the time evolution in the transverse section at 0.5cm and 2cm was made. The time constant for both lamps seems to be similar, but the fit doesn't take account the real asymptotic value which is clearly higher than the estimated in the fit.
