(BACK TO THE MAIN PAGE)

The raster calibration is beam energy dependent. Thus, we need specialized calibrations for our second pass beam. Only the FADC 'Left' rasters (1 & 2) are calibrated, since we are not using the other ones (FastBus L,R, and FADC R).

Some information can be found in these slides presented in analysis meetings:

- First calibration attempt (from calibration during online analysis to calibration #1).

- From calibration #1 to calibration #3)

Current Raster Calibration

- (calibration #3 here)

- As in calibration #2, we get the coordinates of the carbon hole at the target by projecting a line through the position at the BPMs.

- the slope is determined by determining the DB slope that gets rid of slopes in the:

  • Invariant mass vs. raster y-current (elastic H(e,e'p) data)
  • vertex z-coordinate vs. raster x-current (carbon single foil data)

Calibration #2 by Tyler Hague

- (calibration #2 here):

- done on 18/07/20

- Here he fits the carbon hole using run 100100. He only uses the radius of the carbon hole to get the slope of the position-current conversion, but he does not force the center of the carbon hole to be at (0,0). Instead, he gets the coordinates of the carbon hole at the target by projecting a line through the position at the BPMs.
