Responsibilities from TO training slides

Here is a list of things that the TO should do each shift. There may be other tasks needed to be done for shifts in which we are doing something other than taking production data. The RC and/or SL will let the TO what else they need to do.

  1. Take a screenshot of the target screens 2 times.
    1. Make a HALog entry with the tile "Target Status Day/Swing/Owl Shift".
    2. Include PolHe4 computer screens and the hadesk7 screens (lasers, oven controls, strip charts, and target motion controls).
    3. Here is an example for what your screenshots should look like: https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4051983
  2. Take an NMR measurement every 2 hours and record the results. [1]
    1. Make a HALog entry with the title "Target NMR Measurement - 45%" (the percentage is the polarization for that measurement).
    2. Include a screenshot of the NMR controls GUI on the PolHe4 computer screen.
    3. Let the shift leader know to include a line in the shift summary such as "08:30 target NMR measurement performed, 45%".
  3. Confirm that the target is in the correct position and that if you have to move it, you do so correctly. [2]
  4. Confirm that the holding field settings are correct, and change these settings if the magnet configuration is changed. [3]
  5. Check the TO training slides for other things you should monitor on shift. [4]
