When to Reboot

Some or all of this procedure should be followed if something related to iocha26 stops functioning. These include:

  • the oven controls
  • the ADC GUI
  • the target controls

Signs that these are not working may include flatlined signals, disconnected signals (usually appear in white), controls that aren't responding, or red RS232 indicators (oven GUI).

BEFORE RESETTING call MCC and the run coordinator. They probably need to know that iocha26 is being reset. This would also likely be a good time to ask them to mask the target if it isn't, as it will need to be homed before it can be reliably positioned.

Oven Controller Reset

If only the oven controls have stopped working: (meaning the ADC GUI is still updating, and the target is still working) skip to step 5 in the instructions below. Follow the instructions through step 9, selecting only outlet 8 in step 8. This is a shorter procedure that does not require rebooting the entire IOC and does not require re-homing the target ladder. If you select outlet 1, you will have to start from the beginning and do the entire procedure. If this shorter version does not get the oven controls working, you will have to do the entire procedure below.

Reset Procedure
