===Trouble shooting:===

The lockout position is the same as the home position (poor design).

To jog it by hand away from the home position:

# Open up the floor tile against the wall next to the Compton computer.  You want the remote control: it is a small beige box with controls. (other box is a killswitch; do not touch).

# You need to first activate the box (turn it on: bottom right switch), or it won't do anything.  The red light may or may not come on when you do this (LED is dying). Depending on whether the shift is activated or not, some buttons do two things. You need to toggle the table up just barely. So, flick the switch up, then flip it right back down.  Now the JTabs controls should be working.

# Make sure to switch the box back off when you are finished, and replace carefully.

Old Compton Table, pre-Spring 2016

In the case of an epics reboot, the Compton photon detector table moves to the home position. This is a problem, since this is not the nominal position. The table must then be moved back to the nominal position. To do this, you must first move the table to home using the controller box located int he back room of the Counting House. Then you must move it up (vertical up) a little from home using the controller. If you don't know where this is or how to use it, page Megan. You can then open up the Compton table GUI and move the table to x=70.3 and y=43.0 (since the table appears to have sunk a little, the old position was 41.3). The crystal should now be in the nominal position. WARNING: Do not move the table above y=44mm! The lead hut will hit the electron detector table!
