What detectors will be used for GMn and GEn?

BigBite (Shower, GRINCH, GEM, Hodoscope) and HCAL

Is the hardware fully specified? (Types and numbers crates and modules specified.) Are there any design choices not made?

Yes

Is there firmware that needs to be developed? When will it be ready? Can it be tested without beam?

GEM readout firmware

What DAQ modules are used?

FADC F1 V1190 V792 TI TS TD MPD VETROC

What is the trigger? NIM? Is it designed?

Bigbite Shower analog sum GEn RP with coincidence with analog HCAL sum

Is hardware for trigger fully specified?

Yes

What version of CODA will be used?

CODA3

When will full DAQ system be assembled? (Will this be in hall or elsewhere?)

In Hall Spring 2021

What can not be tested without beam?

Background in chamber (X-ray test at UVA )

What detector test DAQs exist? Are they all used for the full DAQ?

GRINCH BB Shower INFN GEM UVA GEM HCAL CDet

Yes

What is the status of GEM readout?

Optical readout being tested, new MPD firmware in development for zero supression, common noise supression and packing in 32 bit words

Is all the hardware in hand? Do all the cables exist? Yes besides Cables Shower to FADC

Is any borrowed hardware used and if so has possession of that hardware been taken?

Need to get 10 FADCs from electronics group and 2 SD

Is any needed hardware currently loaned out for non SBS/Bigbite uses? When will it be returned?

VXS crate at UMAss, Hanjie will use to setup GEM readout for BigBite

What are the typical and maximum data rates?

Is networking and computing sufficient?

Yes

Will analysis software be ready enough for at least online data quality checks?

Yes,

What work is needed from FEDAQ group? Does work have sufficient priority?

GEM firmware, highest priority
