Description

The corrector magnets are two pairs of coils positioned along the beam line near the SBS magnet in order to minimize the deflection of the electron beam en route to the high-power beam dump. They are controlled by Accelerator Division. One pair is called upstream, while the other is called "downstream", referring to their location relative to the target pivot; "downstream" is closest to the target pivot, while "upstream" is furthest from the target pivot.

Monitoring

To monitor the corrector magnet currents, run the following in a terminal to bring up a GUI that will show the magnet currents as a function of time:

ssh to-some-location ./some-bash-script
