GMn GEM commissioning Meetings: WEDNESDAY 10:30am - 11:30am

The front tacker is moved to its final position. The scintillator paddles have been moved to the back of front tracker
Continue debugging the APV issues. The whole backplanes might need to be replaced
- one 4 slot bp on XW L1
- one 3 slot bp on UV L3
- one 5 slot bp on XY L12
Power issues in the DAQ bunker last Wednesday. We might have overload a breaker, but it is not clear. Lawrence will replace a 30A 3 pole breaker that is providing power to out rack.

Clean up cables
Set up DAQ computer (we will use adaq1)
Set up the third VTP crate (mostly done)
Rearrange fibers, HV and NIM cables.
Set up the scintillators and form the trigger
Connect the GEM to LV
Set up the MPDs (connecting the HDMIs to MPDs)
Begin low level test (find and replace any problematic APV, mpd, etc) (the front tracker is being tested)
Begin HV conditioning on N2
Switch over to ArCO2

Remove layers, isolate shorted sectors, repair APVs as needed
Joe B will add LV inputs for new GEMs in the stack, we will need to make those cables (4 more layers)
Install BB gas distribution from SBS line -- DSG will do this (completed)
Further calibrations of SBS gas mix
Repair/troubleshoot problematic CAEN crates -- DSG working on this
MPD testing and repair
Prepare and install pixel layers (long term)

Move layers into front and back tracker (done)
Upgrade the BB XY layer to SHV (done)
Fabricate remaining LV cables
Repair/replace L6 modules, install as last layer in Back Tracker, until EEL layer is ready (work in progress)
For cosmics, bring bars (HV+signal cables) to table and make a readout trigger. Work with techs to bring out 1 layer at a time?
For cosmics, move stack to be near RHRS, we can access all gas lines, setup readout, LV etc. (completed)
- Move BB crates to SBS rack (completed)
- Setup scintillators around the stack and run for a longer period. (work in progress)
Other work, setup gas flow in EEL to chamber. Finish HV upgrade & test. (work in progress)
