  • JLEIC fellowship to support student or post-doc - CHECK ANNOUNCEMENT! [5]
    • TDIS could be considered here
  • Test stand (Ed):
    • Prepared document defining what we will be doing here at JLab
    • Plan to order CRU from Alice
    • Elevated costs of FEC built by Oak Ridge
    • Five FEC planned in order list
    • TPC with Flex circuitry may be the reason for elevated costs of FEC
    • Prototype level: hard connection for now (we don't need the flex circuitry at this moment)
  • Target/detector design for prototype (Dutta):
    • support to hold target centered/aligned (2 main ideas being developed)
    • kapton to be stretched to make cell straight, as suggested by target group
    • Background particles - we should minimize material downstream
    • chiller outside to keep target at 80K
    • Do we really need cold target? Simulation should address that soon, since this defines important changes to the design.
      • For example, BONUS is considering 7.5atm deuterium in 40cm long straw at room temperature. Simulate this condition and compare!
    • Pressure tests to be done (with target group)
    • Consider to reduce end cap thickness (reduce background)
  • Readout design (Kondo):
    • UVA discussing design of readout for prototype - sizes of pad elements
    • Simulations have shown high occupancy in inner radius - smaller elements planned for inner radii
    • More simulations needed to define sizes of readout elements
    • Studies of connections to the readout board during prototype phase
