Laser status:

  • KP: want to have a better understanding of the laser setup. AP: will work on it until next time


  • JC: no updates on the DAQ. Jinlong and JC will be in the hall Th to Sun (Aug 30th to Sept 2nd)
  • Plans are being worked on for linearly tests

Electron Detector:


  • AP: comparison between the GSO (build from scratch - 3 cm radius) and PbWO4 geometries.
  • KP: slide 3: why do the PbWO4 low energy photons deposit little energy? AP: will rerun with larger apertures (jaws and collimator). This was run with 6 mm distance between jaws
  • AP: the GSO on slide 4 is at 3.4 GeV, while the PbWO4 is at 10.6 GeV. The Compton paper ran the simulation at this value. KP: PREX is at 0.95 so we should have that in our set of plots
  • JCC: will send out optical properties for GSO to Amali. KP: we should document what these parameters are once AP gets them.
  • JCC: the 10mm sync shield is a bit too thick, you should reduce it to 1mm. AP: will do
