An experiment is in the decommission state when the director has decided to remove the experiment detector. During this phase, detector subsystems provided by outside collaborating institutions are removed from the laboratory, and Jefferson Lab owned equipment is made available for use in other experiments. Physics division is responsible for ensuring that Physics Division supplied equipment is properly retained and stored for future use.
