4.7.2.6  Check List - When Hall A is Used as Accelerator Beam Dump

Counting Room Status (Hall A counting room may be unmanned.):
Prior to closing the Hall Check End station Status:

Clean power in Hall A is to be turned off.
[    ]
Spectrometers rotated out of beam direction.
[    ]
Targets in extracted position.
[    ]
Drift Chamber gases are turned off at gas shed.
[    ]
Confirm clean/safe status of shield house area and Hall.
[    ]
Beamline to dump configured appropriate for beam energy/current
[    ]
Confirm that any hall ventilation which exhausts air to the environment is turned off.
[    ]
Confirm that beamline and target chamber are from unnecessary equipment and clutter.
[    ]
Confirm that beam line and target structures have been wiped down in the last six months or since the last maintenance activity to remove dust and grease which presents a source of loose radioactivity. being used.
[    ]
Confirm that all magnet power supplies shut-off and locked/tagged at breakers in Hall A or alternately the Hall A console key for both HRS power supplies be in the ``off" position with key removed. The key must be removed from the counting house and held in the possession of one of the following individuals: K. de Jager, J. Proffitt, or E. Folts
