- Turn off the lasers (3 or 4), rotate the magnetic holding
field to the parallel configuration (if the field is in transverse mode).
- Make sure the target is in the Helium 3 (beam) position.
- Make sure you are in the parallel field configuration.
- Run the NMR Record Settings panel. Make sure you get the print out.
- Run the Current Monitoring panel. Print it at the end.
- Call MCC and tell them you are going to move the target down to
the pick-up coils to measure its polarization. When the target is masked,
move the target down to the pick-up coils.
- Print the RTD screen from the HAC X terminnal.
- Run the NMR Measurement panel and print it when completed.
- Move the target back to its beam position.
- Call MCC, tell them you have measured the polarization
and that the target is back to its beam position.
Be sure to follow the beam back procedure before sending
the beam back to the target (beam position, raster on with
a radius setting
mm, current less than 15
A)
- Run the NMR Extract Polarization panel and print it.
- Staple the plots together and store them in the target binder.
