GDH Analysis Meeting
October 19, 2002

Karl Slifer discussed his work with the QFS model and RC:
Karl presented his work on the QFS model for GDH.  He modified the
code to include external RC.  The QFS Born cross section has a strong
Q2 dependence.  The final error on the cross section is 5-10%, with about
50% from the QFS simulation.  The collaboration suggested that Karl
should look closer at the error from QFS.

For the radiation length of the reference cell, Karl will assume the glass is
Corning 1720.  Karl plans to work on the polarized QE cross sections.

Seonho Choi discussed the second paper on structure functions:
The paper will include g1/g2 integration and d2.   For the plot of d2,Seonho
raised the question what is d2 at Q2 of zero,  since at present there is nothing
to compare d2 with at a low Q2.   Zein-Eddine was considering only showing
d2 in the high Q2 region.

The collaboration thought it would be good to show all the data for d2, but only
discuss the high energy region.  The collaboration would like Zein-Eddine to send
a draft out, so that the draft could be discussed.  There is also some urgency to
get the paper out as soon as possible.

Nilanga Liyanage discussed the third paper on twist expansions/duality:
Nilanga showed a plot of resonance data from 94-010 vs Nuchman scaling
variable.  g13He should be plotted instead of g1n.  For the next collaboration
meeting, Nilanga will improve the figure, and form "partial" moments of g1 using
    the delta and QE resonances.

     The collaboration discussed new experiments:
Xiaodong Jiang, discussed a new proposal that will be presented at the next
PAC.  The proposal will measure the transversity of the neutron.  The experiment
will use Big Bite to detect electrons, and the HRS to detect charged pions.

Gordon Cates discussed the preparations for Gen at high Q2.  Much work
remains to be done for a late summer 2004 run period.  It is hoped that Wolfgang
will aid with the production of target ladders, and Guido Urciuoli may help with field
calculations due to the presence of Big Bite next to the Helmholtz coils.  For the
experiment, a larger pumping chamber will be used for the target cells, and the laser
    hut will not be used.

JP Chen discussed conferences for 2003:
JP suggested that members of the collaboration think about possible
conferences to which they would like to go and to let him know of any
conferences not included on the list.
