keyword=Right Dipole "Quench"While ramping the right dipole up to 1000 amps to measure the time constant for the shorted coil the power supply tripped indicating a "Quench". As luck would have it I had just added the lead flows to my strip chart and as you can see there was absolutely no variation in the lead flow associated with this "Quench" making me suspect the quench protection is simply too sensitive.(?)
