    keyword=Sieve OPEN

    The Sieve was supposed to be always in OPEN position (0.8705 meter) when we intend the sieve to be out. For some reason, before Dec 17th, including all Happex III run-period, the sieve position was in "6 msr" position which is 0.6188 meter. This was limiting the spectrometer acceptance compared to the sieve "OPEN" position case. After Dec 17, when we started doing OPTICS runs, we set the sieve either in "sieve in" position or in "OPEN" (means sieve out) position. Kai noticed a good point here. Taking the sieve "OPEN" position optics data, we can always use solid angle cut to see the "6 msr" position effect. But if we put the sieve in "6 msr" position, we can not get back the the sieve "OPEN" position solid angle acceptance where we took all our resonance data.
