Sorry that it is a long update but I hope some of you could read it as well as check the plots I post, and give me some feedbacks about how to solve those issues both both L and R.
1,S1-1L,2R,4R have more after-pulses, but should be fine.
2,S2m: all ADCs values are too small. We might need to increase the HVs.
3,VDC-U1: still missing the last 64 channels. Ole has verified that the software has no problem. I guess either the last two DIS cards or the two cables on the cards are disconnected.
4, Shower: 9,18,33,36,37 have different kind of distribution by comparing with channels next to them. David said the map is wrong, and same of ADC signals are actullay S1 ADC. I am waitting David to upadte the new maps.
only 38,39 have the distributions we for but why only this two?
5, Pre-Shower: 15 ADC too weak. Will check its HV. For other channels, I don't know the geometry distribution of blocks but I believ those channels with strong signals should be on the center.
6, As I reported few days ago, Cerenkov detectors have small single-photon-electron values(about 50 ADC-channels above pedestals), while usally we require about 100 ~ 200 ADC-channels, and L-HRS Cerenkov counters have about 200 ADC channels. And Cerenkov signals of Both arms have been amplified. I don't know whether we should increase the HVs or not.
(However, Vince told me that the HVs are already high enough. And considering with S2m ADC, we might have to think whether the values we put in the HV-GUI are the real values that put on PMTs or not. We had this problem at the begining and we did replace the whole HV crate to solve the isssue. Did we really solve it?)
Summary: Someone who knows better on VDC should check the cable connection. Still, shower counters gives up many troubles and David and I spent a lot of time to try to verify the connection. I hope David's hard-working could give us better results.
