    checking dhist screens. lots of e-arm flags were red, either meaning problems
    or noone has created reference histos for a while?? this being my first shift
    i am not sure if the following are problems.
    .
    1) VDC multiplicities for hadron arm look very high, lots of events with
    .....more than 10 hits. hard to see how far it continues since plot cuts off at 15 or so
    2) all VDCs have efficiencies reported at about 18% level. looks like a bug in
    ..... the algorithm of computation
    3) h-arm plane 2 TDCs ... right-side paddles appear to have a small satellite
    ...... peak at larger TDC values. This is perhaps the self timing peak doubling
    ...... mentioned by R. Michaels? He indicates that the effect remains at lower
    ....... momenta
    4) the shower-detector spectra on the electron arm look sparse, i.e. i expected
    ..... more blocks to be populated. however this might be due to geometrical
    ..... considerations of which i am unaware.

    Some knowledgeable person (i.e. grad student or postdoc) should make reference
    histograms at earliest inconvenience.
