    keyword=prescale settings

    The prescale settings listed in the end-of-run halog entries are
    correct. This is news only because prescale settings recorded
    on the paper run sheets have been recorded incorrectly for a while
    now.

    The problem appears to be that two emacs windows were open,
    one claiming to point to /adaqfs/home/a-onl/prescale/prescale.dat

    One emacs window, which was visible on the screen, contained these
    settings:
    ps1=4300,ps2=160,ps3=1100,ps4=120,ps5=1,ps6=86,ps7=1,ps8=327675
    It claimed to have been saved.

    The other window, which was minimized, contained these settings:
    ps1=5000,ps2=200,ps3=3000,ps4=200,ps5=1,ps6=200,ps7=1,ps8=327675
    This emacs window also claimed to have been saved.

    The second group of were used. Guessing from the observed
    scaler rates, the first window settings may have been desired: it
    would provide approximately the suggested rates at 80 uA on this
    target (thick-Be). No big deal either way; the biggest difference
    is that right now we get half as many Left singles as Right singles.

    For right now, we changed nothing (except for closing the incorrect
    emacs window).
