    keyword=Return to beam permit

    We completed the work in the hall and asked MCC to return to beam permit. After the cabling for the trigger was fine, we saw after-pulsing on an oscilloscope for one auxiliary channel. When we changed the discriminator threshold (on the auxiliary plane) from -45mV to -100mV, decreasing by half the total rate of the auxiliary plane (OR of all channels), not affecting the E-Aux coincidence rate, we saw the after-pulsing decrease. We also sent five signals - the gate, auxiliary channel 33, E-dE coincidence, auxiliary trigger and E-16L - upstairs to the second floor of the counting house. This allows us to see the relative signals and see how the signals look during beam delivery instead of cosmics.
