keyword=septum set points in Helium vs. Now

Just to remind everyone, below is a table of the momentum and septum current set-points during the helium run period (one month ago). These values are the nominal ones we ran with, and were specifically taken from production 4909:

           p0(GeV/c) Iseptum(A) I/p0
    R-HRS 2.733 278.22 101.80 A/GeV
    L-HRS 2.737 283.57 103.61 A/GeV

This is a 10% higher septum current than the "standard match" (from the HowTo page), which was given as:

    Right Septum set current = 92.58 * P0 (GeV/c)
    Left Septum set current = 94.22 * P0 (GeV/c)

We had seen 5-10% higher rates on the detectors with the septum at +10% (halog entry 149415 ) due to pulling from smaller angle and smaller Q2.

The +10% septum setting is a reasonable starting point, and compatible with what was done during Helium.
