keyword=Re: EDTM and Trigger Signals Added to TDC (Late Entry)

Last week I added the EDTM and trigger signals to a TDC on the left
HRS as a redundant copy for those in the BigBite readout.

I had a problem with the EDTM signal not showing up in the TDC. I found
that the copy I was taking from the S2 EDTM module was completely
uncorrelated to the TDC gate. This particular module has 16 outputs,
but the output signals come in pairs. The timing between any two pairs
can be quite different. I decided to take the signal from output
channel 1 and send it to a fan-out module. Two outputs from a PS 758
are feed into the S2m EDTM Amp module. A third copy is now sent to
a 1877 TDC in ROC 4 Slot 13. Since last Friday the EDTM signal has been
in the data stream for the left HRS.

Figure 1 shows a nice correlation between the EDTM signal from BigBite
and the copy in the left HRS. btw, for the copy in the left HRS, we used
the EDTM signal to set up the coincidence time. Hence the trigger T3
contains an additional 12.5 Hz of rate due to this pulser. By cutting on
"DL.edtpl==0", we can cut out the EDTM signal from the left HRS S1 and
S2m ADC and TDC spectra. This is shown in Figure 2, where the black
curve includes the EDTM signal and the red curve uses the above cut to
    remove the signal.
