keyword=Hall A energy modulation is "standby", MCC want us to turn off the dithering for a while
MCC just called that Hall A energy feedback is "Standby", and our dithering system prevent them from recovering. So they want us to turn the dithering off for a while to let them fix the problem. I followed the HOW TO page to turn off the dithering. However, after I clicking the "set kill swithch", and "check status", it still shows the "Beam Modulation is ON", with the "Beam Modulation script is INACTIVE" showing below. I tried many times and then gave up. And I found it says on the page that "if reboot the parity daq ROC 23, we need to restart dithering". So I assume the dithering can be turned off with rebooting ROC 23, and it was indeed turned off after the rebooting. However, MCC still cannot solve the problem, and said it is due to our new Trim rack hall b01 doesn't response and cannot not be rebooted remotely. MCC sent a person to the Hall A counting house who wants to reboot it locally. I have no idea about that part, so I paged Rupesh. The dithering is off now.
