keyword=energy fastfeed back locked on hall A beam a few minutes agoMCC called to tell us that theyhavetraced the source of the beam instabilitites to the energy fastfeedback being locked on the Hall C beam (1 pass). They are now locking the system to the Hall A beam. MCC let us know that because of this new configuration the beam energy could shift a bit.
I'm looking around for evidence of a change. The Tiefenback energy plotted from the archive indeed shows a maybe 1 MeV shift up (1/3356=3e-4) comparing right now with this night setting. Note how the energy has drift down by 2 MeV thi smorning around 9:30 am whe the machine instabilities started.
