keyword=re: pattern synch (was ok Fri morning)
On Friday morning, Feb 17, I'm pretty sure that:
When I did a "PrintRing()" at the vxWorks prompt on TS11 (something
to do only in between runs, not while running), the data looked ok,
including pattern synch. (At the time we were in-time at 30 Hz, so
the pattern synch came every 2nd event).
I also had checked this a few weeks ago. So it is suspicious that
pattern synch stopped working.
All the more reason to analyze the data and have standard histograms
for shift workers to check.
One concern is that when fanning out these signals, it may reduce
the amplitude (voltage divider !). This can make the signal too small
for the scaler control inputs to "see" it. I don't know if it's
happening now but I've seen this kind of thing before. One must
be very careful and CHECK all configuration changes. The standard
a person-who-changes should meet.
