This GUI is used to enable/set particular voltage channels remotely.

  1. Start jmenu on the compton
  2. Type hv in the search bar
  3. Select HV Card 3 - the first channel in this card is the photon detector. Nominal voltage 1750 V.
  4. For the scintillators on the laser table, select HV Card 1, channels 9, 10 , 11, 12. Nominal HV is +1800 V.

The information below is for historical reference.

These Photon Detector channels are for PREX/CREX running conditions:

Slot Cha HV
Side (V) Finger SL-6 CH-10 -950 V
Top (H) Finger SL-6 CH-11 -1000 V
GSO (PhDetector) SL-12 CH-11 See note 1

Note 1: For PRex the GSO is in an independent HV supply, set to -2340 V.

In addition, there are four scintillators in the laser table, two upstream and two downstream of the interaction point. Note: The following voltages are all positive.

Slot Channel HV
DS Top SL-9 CH-0 +1800 V
DS Bottom SL-9 CH-1 +1800 V
US BR SL-9 CH-2 +1800 V
US BL SL-9 CH-3 +1800 V
