  • progress
    • after checking optics, Boris polarization is still low and dropping. see [1]
    • finished AFP loss test for Cell Gravy. see details [2]
  • todo
      • Use the Moss cell to check system again.
        • masing effect for Moss cell ( polarization ~ 20%), details see [3] and link title
        • set up the gradient coil
        • test different currents and thresholds
        • test the new method to destroy target chamber polarization for diffusion model.
      • if system OK. we will do following (2 weeks):temperature optimization and diffusion test (225~240, may add point 220)
        • temperature stabilized ~ 4 hours
        • spin up ~ 24 hours
        • do EPR
        • do internal temperature test (do NMR laser on - off - on)~ 1 hour
        • do AFP loss with laser on, check immediately
        • do diffusion model ~ 4 hours
        • wait for another 3~6 hours, or we can put it in diffusion test.
        • do AFP loss with laser off, check immediately
        • do hot spin-down ~ 12 hours
        • do one cold spin down for this cell after finishing all temperature tests ~18 hours
