  • Updates
    • HCal
      • new TI swapped
      • all fibers connected
      • Bryan will make the HCal config
      • TDC reference time working now
      • extra FADC with copy of trigger ( reference ) ( make sure the shaper is in and it is the good one ) , 10 supercluster analog sums - might need different latency for the reference time
      • need to check linear fan/in for offsets
      • need double check no capacitive coupling in wrong place
      • might need to add capacitor on some channels if needed
      • 10 ns cable extension to JLab PMTs - clusters line up better
      • can check with LED, but LED not yet ready
      • is there air flushing on PMT ? Not
    • Bigbite Shower
      • finished pulser test for shower and preshower

(look up table of ratios : some modules have isses in shower and still investigating preshower )

      • could not find any linear fan in/out - need check to Bogdan or Jack
      • might be modules in LHRS that might not be in used
      • connected cables from BB discrimator to HCAL DAC, threshold can be changed remotely
      • installing 2 FADCs in hodoscope crate for sum monitoring
      • one FADC channel was not working 1-4 - will remove FADC to be repaired
      • coincidence trigger : can work with Bob and Scott today - pulser ready
      • continue to debug and take cosmics overnight
      • need clean up area
      • all scalers plugged and to F1 - some features in TDC might be odd

    • Bigbite Hodoscope
      • noise issue figured out
      • could take data with DAQ and troubleshooting
      • 4 data runs at 4 different HV, of lower detector, next middle and upper third
      • still couple of channels to check
      • will try to add to full DAQ when not in use
    • GRINCH
      • setting up timing set up, using hodoscope trigger - signal was too long - shorten cabled - ADC gate working
      • everything reading out - some decoding issue - to look at the data
      • OSP submitted to work on upper half of detector - all ADC channels working

      • taking cosmics
      • setup in EEL126 -
      • want to run optical - DAQ still being put back together - late next week at earliest

      • CAEN HV used for INFN - non zero current from power supply - up to 200 nA - could be offset

  • On-going tasks
    • Network setup ( done ) - SBS MPD side might need few cables - need pull network for SBS side (0%) - should check when bunker is setup
    • Scaler crate setup (90 % - Steve - need add readout) - Steve could not talk to CPU (done) - IP fixed with DHCP - need change fan tray - CAEN ( done ) - need try reset with ethernet of CAEN crate - send info to Bryan

    • 3 rd GEM VXS crate install router moved up ( 100% )
    • need power and network in GEM bunker ( done )

- new firmware for LHRS TI ( still need to update)-

    • LHRS can still use adev account
      • all crates tested individually with TS by Bryan besides HCAL -
      • config Shower and GEM - issues with TI or fiber being investigated
    • detector cabling ( 100 % - debugging )
    • new MPD production - about to start - FPGA received by Paolo - need check when production starts - need follow up with Paolo
    • MPD VTP readout - on-going in daq lab - still having issue getting APV sending data to MPD - events going through high speed link - (done using for taking all GEM data )
    • MPD being setup in Hall A - need setup VTPs to boot (done ) - 10 gigE network plugged (done) - will be able to test in Hall A (done) - 5.2 KHz max trigger rate - 900 MB/s max per VTP - LV installed soon (done )
    • setup portservers : 1 4 port portserver for VTP (done), still need to set up a 8 port one and HCAL portserver - need one more
    • need to install remote switch for crate in bunker (done hareboot32) - rest are VXS or VME64 - need put CAEN crate on network
    • Bigbite - HCal trigger setup - need check with Bob if additionnal NIM crate need to be install - might be ok with current NIM crate
    • TS setup - 90 % - all cabled - still need to configs
    • Beamline crate setup ( in scaler crate ) - FADC is in scaler need to be setup - need pull raster BPM BCM (0% will do it with David and Bob, Jack Heidi helping ) - time estimate ? Jack and Heidi

  • Outstanding issues
    • Issue with CAEN HV for Hodoscope with EPICS
    • 2 bad FADCs Bigbite - 1 FADC was repaired - one being repaired - 1 Compton FADC - repaired can use as spare ( done ) - 1 more FADC shower to be repaired - 
1 more bad FADC on shower ( 1 channel bad )
    • SD delay : still need 2 SDs ( Glasgow and INFN just requested quote ) Hall B lending two - will get once checked -
    • need to adjust for HCAL transit time with different PMTs - looked at it already, about 12 ns - 20 cable after summing (done) - still need to look with led
    • status of cosmics paddles ( installed by Bogdan ) - HCAL paddles in test lab still need to be set up - Scott checked with techs - will push next week - will do it when crane is in
    • GEM fibers too short : Mark will order parts - ( fiber ordered - + 2 extensions ordered )
    • 15 bad MPDs - need to look at fixing - Ben ? Dustin loaning us 6 MPDs - need 85 total - 67 in hand - 1 MPD (301) VME address issue in some slot - ( at least 2 bad MPDs ) - check google doc
      • APV needed 1208 - 966 in hand working - Michael might lend 40 - ( check with Thir ) - still need 95 -
    • GEM fiber possibly bad - 2 broken - if long sleeve want to pull spare in separate conduit ( extension setup - 50 % )
    • GEM HV IP need setup ( Alex ) Done
    • GEM clock/trigger box for BB side ( got one from UVA )
    • GEM LV remote control ( done )
    • GEM VTP transceivers hanging - ( swapped with SSP - firmware fix will be implemented - need to check with Ben )
