Run Coordinator's Report for Sunday November 22 Day to November 23
Owl
Summary
- The polarity of the spectrometers was changed to positive and run in
this configuration overnight. This was to take e+ data to quantify the
dilution to the e- data from e+e- pair production. The RHRS Q3 magnet
polarity couldn't be changed so it was run with zero current which
changes the optics of the spectrometer and reduces the rate. The
interpretation of this data will thus require work on a dedicated optics
mode with Q3 off. Dead time studies were also done overnight.
- Most of the Day shift will be in access. There is work on the
Compton ion chamber with trips sometimes with even beam present. There
will be work done in the North Linac and the cathode spot will be
moved.
Run Plan
- Moller measurement after the spot move.
- Resume high current production.
Requests
- Three shifts need a shift leader: Shift Leader on the day
shift of Wednesday, November 25, 2009 and Shift Leader for the Owl and
Day shifts of Friday, November 27, 2009. Please sign up!
- Shift Leaders: please write a detailed shift summary (including
runs taken and any
activities) and submit the BTA for each shift. Please log CODA reboots
in the halog and shift summary.
- 3rd person: Please make sure to start and stop the HRS DAQ
at the same time as the parity DAQ and to do the prompt analysis and the
HRS analyzer for every run.
- 3rd person: please keep a careful eye on the online data display.
Most problems can be caught quickly this way.
- Please make sure that the shift checklist is done once each shift.
Data taken
- Production charge taken in the 24 hours ending Tuesday Owl: 0.7 C
- Total production charge taken in all, end of Tuesday Owl: 29.6 C
