Tentative Agenda

  1. Updates
  2. Next meeting time

Minutes

Attending: Juliette, Ryan, Vahe, Brian, Greg, Dustin, Alex, Sirish

  1. Ryan - simulation up and running
  2. Alex - working with detector
  3. Sirish - project timeline - readines review
    1. beam expected middle of March
    2. physics in September/October next year
    3. electron detector mechanics and integration mostly done
    4. photon detector needs to be raised
      1. support stand needs to be jacked up
      2. section of beamline for photon needs work - Joyce Miller could help
    5. photon detector needs to be refurbished - at JLAB?
      1. needs to be surveyed to see if it can be removed from the hall - work with Joyce remotely?
      2. it would have to be dismounted and moved to a lower background area
      3. metal cutting at CMU - could junk the small tubes if radioactive
      4. finger scintillators 1/4", tubes quite a bit bigger
      5. mid-February at latest to get back in the hall
  4. field measurements
    1. integral Bdl measurement - wire measurement (goes into beam tune)
    2. Kent did 3D measurement of fringe fields that goes in to electron analysis, reported at Hall A meeting
  5. lead tungstate for higher energy running - GSO not ideal for higher energies
    1. high rate counting mode for DAQ - GSO has longer pulse than lead tungstate
    2. cost effective
    3. lead tungstate contains the whole shower (needs to be 60-70 mm in diameter)
  6. next meeting - week of the 20th (send a Doodle poll the week of the 13th)
