Target Cell Heater

The target pumping cell must be kept at a temperature of about 170$^\circ$C (340$^\circ$F) for optical pumping of Rb to be effective. This is accomplished by flowing hot air through a special temperature-resistant enclosure (``oven'') around the pumping cell and regulating the temperature of the air using a process controller.
